Collaboration between Forschungsinstitut Glass | Keramik GmbH (FGK) and D3

We are excited to announce a collaboration between FGK and D3, focused on the additive manufacturing of glass-ceramics.

Why glass-ceramics?

With their exceptionally low thermal expansion, glass-ceramics offer outstanding dimensional stability under thermal stress, making them essential for semiconductor manufacturing, aviation and aerospace applications. 

At the core of this development is our Micro Particle Jetting technology, integrated into the LAB II system. It enables processing of technical ceramics and glass-ceramics – unlocking the production of large, lightweight and complex structures.

This partnership bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial application, combining scientific expertise with real-world manufacturing requirements. By bringing together complementary know-how and deep-tech innovation, FGK and D3 are contributing to the advancement of high-performance materials and strengthening Europe’s position in advanced ceramics.
